Former head of the Water & Ocean Governance Program of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP); former coordinator of UN-Oceans; former Executive Director of the Center for Field Research at Earthwatch Institute.

 Paul served most recently as Director of the Climate Change Institute and Distinguished Professor at the University of Maine. Paul has led more than 60 expeditions to the remotest polar and high elevation reaches of the planet; his contributions to science range from atmospheric circulation, human impacts on the chemistry of the atmosphere, impacts of climate change on humans and the ecosystem, ice core sampling and calibration techniques, history of human source toxic metal emissions, and the application of past and present climate research to past and modern day challenges.  

Wendy served as the Executive Secretary and Assistant Director General of UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC-UNESCO) in Paris. For most of her career, she held various senior positions within Fisheries and Oceans Canada, including eight years as its Assistant Deputy Minister of Science. 

Craig’s work builds capacity to improve science, ocean, and environmental literacy in education systems nationally and internationally, with a focus on centering equity and justice. He was founding Director of MARE (Marine Activities, Resources & Education), the most widely used elementary marine science program in the U.S.
