Not only does Brazilian Fa­bi­ano Bar­retto re­lent­lessly fight the mar­ine lit­ter pol­lut­ing the beau­ti­ful bays of his home state Bahia. He also takes a stand for his com­pat­ri­ots on the coast to profit from the grow­ing tour­ism. In 2011, he was awar­ded for his com­mit­ment with the “Green Palm Tree” by GEO Saison Magazine. And the pro­ject work con­tin­ues un­til today.

WFO is a non-profit organization that mobilizes the fisheries sector, the plastics industry, policy makers, other stakeholders and the wider public, to reduce the impact of marine litter on our ocean environment and natural resources.

Through our expeditions, onboard the 60’ sailing research vessel, American Promise, Rozalia Project protects and cleans the ocean using technology, innovation, solutions-based research and engaging STEM programs.

Working as a catalyst for change, Take 3 for the Sea helps people to see and understand the problem of plastic pollution, inspiring them to simple human-sized actions by unleashing the power of 3: Take 3 pieces of rubbish with you when you leave the beach, waterway… or anywhere Take 3 actions to reduce your single-use plastic Take 3 people on the journey with you.
