NOAA (the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration of the United States) is arguably the most advanced utility for the investigation of natural systems, yet a new 2026 budget has been presented with cuts to NOAA exceeding 1.6 billion US dollars: an administration that has provided research and information to inform our understanding of weather, changing systems and impacts, emergency response, forecasting, air and water circulation, temperature change, and so much more.
